E-mail Dated Monday the 15th January 2001,
Dear Sean Gabb I have recently visited your site, and notice with some surprise that you list me as being a "Europhile", which you define as "Generally enthusiastic about EU integration and supportive of the Euro". So far as I am aware you have never contacted me, and I have certainly not told you what my views on the EU are. With respect, neither this standard of research, nor compressing a candidate's views into a one word summary seems likely to produce a better informed electorate. For your information I am NOT generally enthusiastic about EU integration, and I certainly am not supportive of the Euro. I entirely endorse William Hague's position on both of those issues without qualification. Whether or not you wish to reflect that in your website is up to you. Yours sincerely Stephen Hocking
The Candidlist Questions are: 1) If elected or re-elected to Parliament, would you oppose our joining the Eurozone even if joining were to be recommended by the Party leadership?Mr Hocking sounds like a committed don't know to me. Sean Gabb
