E-mail Dated Monday the 4th October 1999,
Richard Harwood <RJHarwood@aol.com>
to Sean Gabb
I read many of your names with amusement and occasional surprise. As I recall the only occasion I have been asked whether I was a Europhile was on Radio Sheffield shortly before the last election. I said no.
The Times list was only brought to my attention long after the Election and was clearly under-researched. It did not harm our result in Bolsover, where I suffered the smallest swing of a first or second placed Conservative candidate in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Yours
Richard Harwood
Dear Mr Harwood,
Many thanks for your e-mail dated the 4th October 1999. I apologise for my lateness in replying, but have had problems with Demon Internet. These have been solved, but I have added my personal e-mail address and mobile telephone number to the Candidlist web page just to be on the safe side.
On the basis of the information you provide, I have provisionally reclassified you to a Sceptic, though I would be grateful to receive something more definite.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Sean Gabb

Dear Mr Harwood,
I note with some concern that you have not replied to my invitation of the 26th October to supply evidence of your sceptical credentials.
Until I hear from you again, I must reclassify you as a don't know - which is all that your e-mail of last 4th October indicated.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Sean Gabb
