A Note on Mark Harper

E-mail Dated Friday the 8th October 1999,

to Sean Gabb

I was informed about your site at party conference and have just checked my entry where you have me as a "?".

For the record my position on European Integration is as follows:

I am opposed to British membership of the euro and I support keeping the pound permanently.

I am opposed to further measures of integration and indeed feel that there are a number of areas where we need to claw back powers already conceded i.e. on social chapter items, fisheries.

I have been clear and consistent on these matters for many years.

I would appreciate it if you would update your list accordingly.

If you have any questions for me please let me know.

Regards,

Mark Harper
