Dear Mr Devine,

I want to classify you as a Sceptic, but all you have given me so far justifies only a don't know classification.

Do you believe in never joining the Euro whatever the opinion of the Party leadership?

If the European Union gave the UK a choice: accept the supremacy of EU law or leave the EU, would you be prepared to see Britain leave?

Do give me your considered views on these matters.

Yours sincerely,

1) I am opposed in principal to the Euro and strongly support sterling. I would not support entry into the Euro, irespective of Party Line as I do not believe it would benefit Britain - we have our own currency geared to our own economy and no one else's, I also beleive floating exchange rates allow maximum flexibility to counteract up and downturns in our own economy. I would be prepared to campaign on the side of retaining sterling in any future referendum.

2) I believe that we should be a sovereign state and our own laws should be supreme, given this hypothetical ultimatum then leaving would be our only option.
